Sakura leaned on Naruto’s shoulder, her knuckles turning white as she clung to his black/orange jacket. Naruto helped her sit down on the bench and he plopped down, talking endlessly about something of Hinata and Ramen. Sakura felt no need to pay attention.

“Kakashi, I don’t think I need to tell you to explain.”

Kakashi shifted in his chair.

“Hokage-sama, what I am about to report is merely what happened. I have no cause to what, why, or how.”

Tsunade remained silent; her hands laced together her chin resting against the appendages.

“During my fight with Uchiha Itachi, I had received the wound Sakura so kindly pointed out to you earlier. My immediate guess is she discovered my injury and chose to heal me as I took rest. Itachi was about to use his Mangekyou Sharingan and perform the Tsukiyomi on me when Sakura, intervened his attention.” That stupid girl…

“I see…continue.”

Kakashi sighed, leaned forward, and raised his left hand. He pushed his forehead protector, exposing his own Sharingan eye.

“As you know, Hokage. My own Sharingan eye now is at the Mangekyou Sharingan stage. I can create an internal time zone and send any weapon/item into a different dimension.”

Kakashi leaned back, his hands laced over his stomach, as his left foot rested on his knee.

“Uchiha Itachi’s Mangekyou Sharingan is different. His is set to destroy an enemy, torture endlessly and distort all memories of time. Its power is impossible to break.”

Tsunade gave an exasperated sigh. “I know this Kakashi.”

Kakashi nodded. “But what you do not know, Hokage-sama, is that I believe our little Sakura…has performed the impossible.”

The silence that vibrated throughout the room was deafening.

“Fetch Sakura, Kakashi.” Tsunade stood and looked out the window behind her desk.

Kakashi disappeared, and Tsunade was left to her thoughts.
